The Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences at the ETH Zurich seeks a Director for the new MoBiAs platform.
The Director will lead a team of 7-8 technicians and scientists to establish a new platform for the analysis and characterization of organic, inorganic, and biological samples. This platform will include world-class instrumentation and expertise in mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, and biomolecular analysis including surface plasmon resonance and microcalorimetry. The Director will participate in the teaching mission of the Department at the undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct research in collaboration with research groups at the ETH Zürich and other local institutions. Opportunities for independent research are also available, but are not an essential component of this position.
