Prof. Seebach awarded by the CINMPIS in Cagliari

In December 2017, Prof. Seebach was awarded by the Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale Metodologie e Processi Inovativi di Sintesi (CINMPIS) for his pioneering and outstanding contributions to the field of Organic Chemistry.

Prof. Seebach was awarded at the 17^th Giornate Scientifiche Borsisti CINMPIS, entitled "Towards a New Vision of Chemistry in Everyday Life and Technology", on December 15&16, 2017. Also, he gave the CINMPIS Lecture "Research, a Magical Mystery Tour".

The award honors his pioneering and outstanding contributions to the developments of new concepts and new synthetic methods of enantiopure molecules, for the structural characterization of key intermediates in polar orgometallic chemistry, using X-ray diffraction analysis and multinuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and the mechanistic elucidation of their pivotal role played in carbon-carbon bond forming reactions.
