Public Relations D-CHAB
Insights into chemistry and applied biosciences
Chemistry has many faces, especially in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences (D-CHAB): Every day, more than 50 research groups here search for solutions to the challenges of the future and try to better understand the molecular world using state-of-the-art methods. The public relations work of D-CHAB aims to provide insights into research and teaching at the department in just as many ways - not only for ETH members and alumni, but above all for school groups with their teachers, children, the media and all other interested parties.
- As a bridge between ETH Zurich, the department and the public, public relations continuously publishes news, audios or videos on the D-CHAB website or in social media.(external page X former Twitter), external page Instagram, external page YouTube).
- You can also get to know the D-CHAB quickly in only 210 seconds by watching our film (see video) or in more detail via the new D-CHAB brochure, or you can check out the interactive map to learn more about the worldwide network of our researchers.
- Those who prefer to get an on-site impression are welcome to visit our exhibition "The Art of Chemistry" or take part in one of our guided tours, which take place on various dates throughout the year.
- Children's experiment afternoons are held annually, as well as the Day of Open Laboratories (TOL) and the public lecture of the Ruzicka Award Ceremony.
- We are also regularly represented with experiments, guided tours, etc. at Treffpunkt Science City and Scientifica, as well as at special events (e.g. International Chemistry Olympiad 2023).
