The gallery of 17 fabric pattern books
Only a subset of Adolf Jenny Trümpy's 17 fabric sample books are currently on display in the collection at the D-CHAB due to lack of space. They will now be successively digitized and made available online here.
The fabric samples at D-CHAB include indigo prints from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century, a collection of printed samples including many from Glarus, made with mineral dyes from the period 1830–1900, Madder articles from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century, blue wood dyeing articles (imprinting process) 19th century, application and steam fixed dyes, variegated steam fixed dyes from 1870–1900 washed in running water (unsoaped), printing samples collection Färbalizarin without and with illuminating colors, wool printing and others.
